Rev. Phillip Fischer Bio
Rev. Fischer pioneered his first Unity Church in Jonesboro, Georgia in 1986. The followingyear, 1987, Phillip Rev. completed the Unity Licensed Teacher program at Unity School of Christianity and was designated a Licensed Unity Teacher by the Association of Unity Churches.
During his 10 year ministry of the Unity church in Jonesboro, Rev. Fischer led his church to consistant growth to the extent that they were able to purchase their own building. During this same time period Rev. Phillip served on the expansion committee of the AUC for a period of three years. Phillip then moced to Rome, Geotgia where he pioneered another Unity Church asn served as minister for aperiod of two years. Rev. Fischer then went on to serve as an assistant to Rev. John Strickland at Atlanta Unity where he assumed the duties of Wednesday night services, headed the usher staff, adult education, counseling, Weddings and Memorial services.
Rev. Fischer was ordained by the World Federation of Independent Unity Churches in 2001. He now serves on the national board of directors for this organization and is a member of the ordinations committee.
Rev. Ficher now lives in Rome, Georgia where he belongs to the American Legion beginning as Chaplain, serving on all elected positions and is in his second year as Commander. Phillip also belongs to the Georgia State Defense Force under the Georgia Department of Defense and ultimately the National Guard. He began as Chaplain of this organization rose to be the Executive Officer and is now the Cpompany Commander of "A" Company.
Phillip's community involvement includes being a member of the Chamber of Commerce and serving on one of the Chamber's committee's.
