Ordinaion

Ordination is both a declaration of personal calling and evidence of commitment to serving God in light of ministry and all that it implies. While we believe that ordination is a gift and act from God we recognize that the need for credentials, to round out the Minister's identification, is a necessary tool in today's society.

The Conference on Practical Christianity takes very seriously the act of Ordination and the qualifications, including but not limited to education, professional practicum and spiritual presence of the person applying. The individual applying for ordination must be able to account for his or herself in all of these areas.

While much prayer is done by the Ordination Committee it is the onus of the applicant to pray over the decision to apply for ordination. It is prayer that is the link between that which is in one's heart and what is God's will.

It has been decided that our Ministerial Training program be ultimately designed to satisfy the requirements for Ministerial Certification and Ordination in as many of the New Thought movements as wish to participate.

To receive an application for ordination you must first become a member of the Conference on Practical Christianity.

All are invited to participate and join the Conference on Practical Christianity.

The Great Commission
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:16-20
